1952 - 2011
April 18th, Dublin, Ireland - "The music world lost a true legend this year in Gary Moore, one of the finest musicians to ever pick up the Guitar. Over a powerful 40 plus year career Gary provided the world with a wealth of amazing material from early Skid Row to Thin Lizzy and a varied and eclectic solo career. He has amazed the masses with a rare combination of technical wizardry and feeling. Gary was also a great singer, with a wide range and a great sense of melody. Gary Moore was the total package. A master of music and a born entertainer, and will be sorely missed by all of us whose music has touched our lives and inspired us, so it is only fitting that we pay tribute.
The Gig will be a celebration of Gary's life and music. The bands will cover material from his early days in Skid Row through his various stints with Thin Lizzy and his brilliant solo material, so expect everything from Still Got The Blues and Black Rose to Empty Rooms and Out In The Fields and an evening of fantastic music and fitting tributes. Exciting news as well as the legendary Eric Bell will be playing at the gig, paying tribute to his friend and fellow Belfast native Gary Moore with a terrific Blues set. Anyways, It should be a great night of great music and a must for any Gary Moore fan.
All proceeds are going to the Teenage Cancer Trust. Tickets will be €10 including booking fee and are available by directly contacting us via the facebook, or paying at the door on the night." More info here
